Merciar (Stelciar subtype)
Merciar are a mermaid-like subtype of Stelciar. Unlike regular Stelciar, they have two front legs and a fish-like lower body. Their main role in the Colsentia Universe is as guardians of the deep sea, where the souls of the departed rest.
Habitat
Merciar primarily inhabit the sunlight and twilight zones of the ocean, though they are capable of diving into the midnight zone when necessary.
Anatomy
Merciar have a combination of fur and scales on their upper body, with the scales remaining clearly visible. Instead of regular wings, their wings have evolved into fins known as Fin Wings. Every Merciar must have at least one pair of Fin Wings at the end of their tail. Like the wings of regular Stelciar, their Fin Wings contain both a Core Layer and a Flame Layer.
Landform
Merciar possess the ability to transform into a landform, allowing them to participate more easily in land-based activities and events. Unlike a regular Stelciar's landform, a Merciar retains their Fin Wings and fish tail instead of developing the flame-covered tail typical of regular Stelciar.
Only the main Merciar form must be registered on the Masterlist. A Merciar's landform does not require registration.

The rarity of a Merciar's tail size follows the same rules and effects as the tail size rarity of regular Stelciar.
