Fleeting fireworks

Coral and Mizue had a wonderful time at the Star Monarch Festival so far. They had met at the festival several weeks prior and had been in each others company since. So far they had been eating great food, found a crazy hidden stall selling 'gold salmon gifts' and now they were enjoying a nice stroll in each others company. They had climbed and flew to a hill further away from the stalls at the beach, and they were beginning to get a great view of the ocean below them as they climbed higher. 

"Where are you taking me?" Coral asked, panting, as they flew up past a steep cliff where few shrubs grew.

"Somewhere special, I'd scouted it last week when you were hanging out with your friends! I promise it'll be worth it." Mizue replied, gliding upwards and landing at the top of a cliff face. He reached his paw towards coral, his fancy magical hat strings swaying in the wind. Curious, Coral grabbed hold of his paw as he yanked her up next to him. She couldn't help but gasp at the sight of the festival further away, the colourful stall tents and twinkling lights looked almost ant-like below them. 

"What a view!" she exclaimed, her spirit fish friends swimming around her with excitement. 

"I know right? I knew you'd appreciate watching the fireworks from up here! Not to mention I know how much you like flowers so I got you these." Mizue exclaimed, pulling out from under his witchy hat, a bouquet of pink, white and gold flowers. 

"They're beautiful Mizue..." Coral exclaimed shyly, blushing as she took the bouquet from him and brought it up to her nose. Smelling the sweetly floral flowers and grinning from ear-to-ear.  They sat together for a time, watching the moon rise over the ocean below, taking in the sight of the crowds attending the festival below them.

"It's starting" Mizue whispered to Coral, and gestured with his paw to a small clearing on the beach further away. Phosray and Stelciar were flying speedily upwards into the sky turning into fireworks with rapid spinning motions. A few were setting up traditional fireworks at a different location, lighting up small bundles and watching as they flew up into the sky bursting with sparkles of light. Fireworks of different colours, shapes and sizes lit up the night sky and the beach below. Mizue and Coral watched the display together in awe as the night came to a close.
