results of furthest flight!

At the sound of the starting of the Farthest Flight festival game, the Stelciar all kicked off the ground, wings spread. The sound of the Stelciar wings flapping could be heard by all of the bystanders. Yet, Crow and Cynthia could only hear the wind swooshing past their ears.

"You've got this, Crow!" Shi cheered, holding on to Crow's fur as they flew. The motivation caused Crow to flap their wings faster, strongly bringing them down and pushing them further and further up.

"Thanks Shi," Crow said, voice a bit out of breath from the exertion of trying to fly straight up as fast as possible.

Crow's gaze flicked to Cynthia, who was right next to her and beginning to fall behind. Cynthia was quite the indoors-y Stelciar, and because of this the other didn't exercise much. Cynthia quite looked tired, but Lilac was offering quiet encouragement, letting the pastel Stelciar know that she was doing a good job and that she'd be done in just a few more seconds.

This part of the flight game was only ten seconds after all, so it was quite quick. Soon enough the whistle blew, and the Phosray all jumped off.

"You've got this, Shi!" Crow called, and Shi responded with a thanks as they spread their arms out and began gliding.

"Sorry I couldn't get us higher," Cynthia said to her own partner, but Lilac quickly responded with an "it's okay! I'm a great glider!"

The two Stelciar were quite out of breath and tired, so they quickly returned to the land, grateful for the feeling of the ground under their paws. Cynthia sat down heavily with a huff, trying to catch their breath. Soon enough they did and started running along the path in the direction of their partners to see who'd win.

In the background, the fireworks were still going off, illuminating the night sky with colorful lights. There were some Phosray who had already finished gliding and had already landed, but both Lilac and Shi were still going, and Crow began cheering them on. Cynthia joined in but significantly more quiet, whereas Crow's voice seemed to practically be like a yell.

"Go, Shi, Go!! You've got this!" Crow yelled, hopping up and down.

The Phosray's elegantly glided down, some even accurately making minute changes in the way their wings were angled so that they could catch the slightest change in the currents of air running behind them. The feeling of the wind against their body was refreshing, if a bit chilly given the season and the time of night. Still, their excitement kept them warm as they continued their descent down to the ground.

Soon, though, it was quite close between just Lilac and Shi, with all the other Phosray landing. At this point, all the bystanders were cheering for either of the Phosrays, and some were just cheering for either or cheering for the fun of it! Such continued until eventually the winner was decided by barely any distance at all!

"And the winner is...." the announcer called, stopping to create a dramatic pause as they waited for the audience's attention and interest. "Shi and Crow!" They called, and Crow and Shi reunited on the field, jumping around and celebrating. "The very close runner-ups were Lilac and Cynthia! Thank you everyone for participating, I hope you all enjoyed Furthest Flight, feel free to play again~ Who knows, you might perform even better the second time around."

"Want to go again?" Crow jokes, but Cynthia shakes her head vigorously.

"I'm so tired..."

At this moment, the announcer of the event comes up holding a bouquet of flowers that he hands to Crow, and a smaller pouch of festival currency for the Phosray. "Congratulations on your win, and enjoy the rest of the festival you two!" The announcer says, and Crow and Shi thank them. Shortly after, the pair of Stelciars say goodbye to their new-found Phosray friends before going to the stall with the Kitty Hat.

"You promised," Cynthia reminds, and Crow laughs.

"Of course! I didn't forget."

Soon enough, Cynthia is wearing the kitty hat and walking with a bounce in her step, and Crow carries the flower bouquet happily in her mouth.
