[Trade] planting the seeds of love
In the comfy warmth of her shop, Olwyn's thoughts were on another stelciar. With a soft smile on her face, she recounted the day that she had met the other...
Olwyn let out a soft sigh, tapping her paws impatiently against the floor of her shop. The herbs that she needed for a certain potion blend had gone bad. She had checked her own personal garden but found that there was nothing ready for harvest quite yet. Luckily, it'd be possible to find them in the wild--it'd just be hard. Olwyn sighed once more as she moved to look through her personal foraging journal. Where would be the best chance of looking for them again? She remembered that quite some time ago she had stumbled across it in a forest and she had taken enough that she could re-plant them in her own garden. But it had been so, so long ago that she had since forgotten.
After about half an hour, she managed to find the entry scrawled out. The page consisted of the name of the plant, a sketch, where she found it, as well as her personal techniques on how she got it to thrive in her own garden. The conditions of sunlight, temperature, and the soil quality and type. She refreshed the details in her mind so she knew which parts of the forest were worth a search, before heading out.
When she had gotten to the forest in question, it had taken hours of searching to find the place described in her notes, but she was relieved to see that there was in fact some of the herb that she could harvest. So she did. She wouldn't make the same mistake as last time--she'd immediately plant some, while immediately drying out the rest for immediate potion usage.
In the distance she heard something approach, and she tensed, quickly turning towards the sound. Her ears rotated on her head to better hear, but the creature moving towards her made no effort to hide their approach. Stepping into the clearing was another stelciar, one that was half dark grey and half white, with a large tree structure branching out from the dark grey side of their face. Olwyn let out a soft gasp at the sight of them, before quickly stifling it.
It was somewhat rare for Olwyn, a natural shut-in, to see someone with traits that were similar to hers. Glass parts of the body, and somewhat overcome with parasitic plants. They had beautiful wings, and Olwyn found herself at a bit of a loss of words. "Sorry," she quickly said, before introducing herself. The latter introduced themselves as Lotus, and she mentioned that she was looking for the same plant that Olwyn was, as she was considering to grow it in her garden.
At that point, Olwyn had gone into a bit of a ramble of how to take care of the plant, explaining that she has some in her shop as well. The two chatted, and Olwyn offered to help Lotus with the garden-- which Lotus had accepted.
The two had known each other for quite some time now, and Olwyn smiled as she finished recounting the memories. Now, she was creating a bouquet of beautiful flowers to surprise Lotus with. It was a small gift for the other, something to make Lotus know that Olwyn cherished her and valued their time together. Once the bouquet was sufficiently arranged, as well as big enough, Olwyn wrapped it in a pretty paper and a bow, grabbing it in her mouth before running along to Lotus' garden.
Lotus was thrilled to see Olwyn, and delighted to see the flowers in the bouquet. "Oh, Olwyn, these are beautiful!" Lotus said with a smile that Olwyn mirrored.
"I grew them all in my garden, picked the most beautiful ones for you," Olwyn said, a bit awkward-- she was such a shut-in that she typically didn't interact much with others, but Lotus was certainly the exception. "I'm glad you like them."
"Like them? I love them!" Lotus said with a grin and flick of her tail.
i felt weird starting the prompts with just assuming that they'd already be together so i included a bit of how they first met and their interactions now! hope this is okay :3
